The main shopping strip, that runs off KW Street, is Rundle Mall. The mall is famous for is sculptures, including the balls and the gorgeous little pigs.
At the eastern end of the mall, Rundle Street is a mecca for foodies, while the western end is Hindley Street which comes alive after dark, is not suitable for your granny. Running off both of these two streets are laneways that are populated with trendy small bars of all descriptions.

Did you notice that final link? Yes, Adelaide is famous as being the home of Sir Donald Bradman, the world’s greatest batsman. If you come to Adelaide, be sure to check out his statue in the grounds outside Adelaide Oval and then head inside to enjoy the Bradman Collection museum.
You can also wander around the oval and get a photo in front of the famous Adelaide Oval scoreboard. It’s manually operated, hot as hell in summer and something out of a bygone era - but it sits perfectly within this modern stadium.
Make sure you get a selfie in front of it. You’ll be in good company!
