Comprising 32 pages, plus a bumper 84-page souvenir edition for the Grand Final, the Budget is sold at the gate of every ground during the minor round and throughout the finals series. 

Over 95% of Budgets are purchased at matches (the rest are bought at city newsstands every Friday), with research showing almost all are taken home after the game and read, on average, by three people.

The SA Football Budget is read by Australian Rules football supporters who are passionate about South Australian football. This provides a wide demographic representation, from parochial supporters who have supported their local team as part of their family culture for generations, to young families and aspiring footballers.

Distribution figures vary during the minor round depending on fixtures, however 3,000 - 8,000 are distributed to suburban grounds and city newsagents each week during the season, rising to around 15,000 for the Grand Final.
